The Chedi Andermatt opened in December 2013 and is the first resort in Switzerland operated by GHM Hotels, the hospitality management group that pioneered some of Asias top luxury hotels and beach resorts.
Nestled in the Urseren Valley at the foot of some of the countrys most exhilarating ski slopes, The Chedi Andermatt is the centerpiece of the Andermatt Swiss Alps project, the largest integrated year-round holiday destination currently under development in the canton of Uri, Switzerland. Together with GHM Hotels, renowned Belgian designer Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston International Architects and Planners Ltd, conceptualized the hotels 106 rooms and suites as a blend of contemporary luxury and traditional Alpine architecture.

The hotel is 90 minutes by train from the cities of Zurich and Lucerne, and is two hours by train from Milan. As a part of the projects sustainability commitments, The Chedi Andermatt was built to MINERGIE Swiss quality standards, with materials and labour sourced locally.
