Hotel description
Welcome to the Palacio Nazarenas A Belmond Hotel Cusco
Cusco may be a city but it has the picturesque appearance and easy, sweet feel of a town. San Blas, the artist’s district, is home to the finest coffee in town, which is just a five-minute stroll.
Belmond Palacio Nazarenas is located in a privileged area surrounded by museums - restaurants and galleries. The hotel is just 10 minutes by car from the four most important ruins in the Cusco area - as well as the White Christ statue. The bohemian and hip neighborhood of San Blas is a 10 minute walk away and the hotel is only minutes by foot from the Plaza de Armas - where Cuscos Cathedral and most of the citys important museums are located. . Belmond Palacio Nazarenas is a former 16th century palace and features Inca and colonial pathways plus a display of archaeological remains found on-site. The buildings original colonial walls have been meticulously rebuilt. The heart and social hub of the hotel is located within the largest of seven cloistered patios where there is a large heated pool and a restaurant offering a menu of organic Andean cuisine. The other patios have fountains and flowing water channels similar to those found in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Facilities and services include a restaurant - bar - heated outdoor pool - a full service spa - a business center - chapel and a library. Concierge and room services are available 24 hours. . Palacio Nazarenas offers 55 luxurious suites distributed around four patios which feature gardens with flowers - herbs and fruit trees. All accommodations are served by butlers who contact each guest prior to arrival - as well as upon check-in to coordinate their needs. Many accommodations have fireplaces and views of the hillside Inca site of Sacsayhuaman or Cuscos cathedral in the Plaza de Armas. Bathrooms feature under floor heating and Peruvian Travertine marble. Other amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access - a Nespresso coffee machine - in suite bar and a Bose sound system. All accommodations are oxygen-enriched to ease the effects of the altitude. Belmond Palacio Nazarenas is a non-smoking hotel. Published rates are inclusive of full breakfast.
In accordance with the new provisions in force as of April 17, 2021 (DS No. 005-2021-MINCETUR) For the entry of minors accompanied by one or both parents, it is mandatory to carry the passport or identity card of the minor. It is also a requirement to present at the hotel, the birth certificate or birth certificate; as well as passport or identity card of the accompanying parent, as appropriate. The heart of the ancient Inca Empire, mythical Cusco is a city beyond imagination for even the most seasoned travellers. It stands to reason that Belmond Palacio Nazarenas should be equally individual and rich in history. Would the nuns in this converted 17th-century convent have approved of the pisco sour cocktail-making stations? Anything is possible, given the diverse incarnations of this contemporary urban retreat. Our hotel was built on Inca foundations and became a palatial private home in the 1500s. It was owned by the conquistador Mancio Serra de Leguizamón—a warrior who is said to have gambled and lost the gold Inca image of the sun from the Coricancha temple. The Jesuits converted the building into a school in 1644, which itself became a convent in 1715.
